Join the Downtown Synagogue at our annual community reading of the Megillah for the holiday of Purim to commemorate the defeat of Haman's plot to get rid of the Jews, foiled by the heroic and dazzling Esther.
We will begin with a family-friendly celebration at 6:30 p.m. with pizza and hamantaschen, face painting, Purim games, and costumes galore!
Arrive at 7:00 p.m. to see the children's costume parade leading up to the sanctuary, and stay after for an adult costume contest with prizes, hamentashen, and drinks. Don't forget your pasta boxes to use as groggers! Additional food donations will be brought to Yad Ezra. We look forward to being with you!
*Costumes are encouraged but not required*
