Amendment to the Bylaws:

The Board of Directors recommends changing the bylaws from "All officers shall be elected for three-year terms" to "Officers shall be elected for three-year terms except the President who shall be elected for a two-year term."

The Board recommends this change as a three year commitment is daunting for many qualified leaders. Two years is more manageable. It is consistent with the practice of nearly all local congregations, and for similar reasons.

Who can vote:

According to our bylaws, there is one vote per household and voting is limited to members in good standing:

  • Members of the Jewish faith over 13 years of age.

  • Current with 2023-24 membership - if you have questions about your membership, please email Liz.

  • Eighteen (18) members in good standing shall constitute a quorum for all meetings of the Congregation.

How to vote:

  • Vote in person at the Annual Meeting on Sunday, December 10 - only current members in good standing may vote at the meeting.

  • Vote by Absentee Ballot – provided upon request – contact Liz. Absentee Ballot must be received by mail or email no later than Friday, December 8 to be included in the election count.

  • Votes will be counted at the end of the Annual Meeting and results announced at the Hanukkah Party.
