The Pergola, an urban sukkah of today is not a closed structure anymore but is rather an open platform that interacts with surroundings. The Pergola consists of 12 stacked frames that are made of prefabricated wooden elements. Modular frames form two distinct parts: a lower group that refers to the sleeping function of the traditional sukkah and today offers an intimate atmosphere to read, chill and relax, and a higher group that refers to the traditional living function and today offers an open space suitable for eating, meetings, different events etc. Between the two groups is an inner atrium, an uncovered micro green oasis.
