Building Operations – Oversees the use and maintenance of the Synagogue building. Chair: Jay Bassin

Capital Improvements — Works with architects and building experts to inform the forthcoming capital campaign to enhance and improve our facility. Chair: Jodee Fishman Raines

Creative Communications – Communicates activities of the synagogue, creates PR materials, and helps with outreach to our membership, the Detroit Jewish community, and our supporters. Chair: Vadim Avshalumov

Programming – Works with the Program Coordinator to create educational, social, social justice, and Judaic programs that are challenging, inclusive, inspiring and experiential. Chair: Noah Purcell

Fundraising – Develops plans to revitalize the Downtown Synagogue’s building and provide resources for our operations and programming. Chair: Oren Goldenberg

Membership – Plans for annual membership drive. Creates processes to attract new and retain existing members. Plans and promotes activities to get members involved in Synagogue activities. Chair: Liz Kannon

Ritual – Plans and helps conduct regular and special religious services. Chair: Dr. Martin Herman

Tzedek Detroit — Guides the Downtown Synagogue around social justice initiatives, partnerships and activities. Chair: Susannah Goodman
